missoula public library

project completed at MSR Design

This new main library also houses many other community partner organizations: Families First Learning Lab, Missoula Community Access Television (MCAT), spectrUM (the University of Montana’s science center), UM Living Lab, a local coffee shop and artist-in-residency all under one roof.

The dimensional wood wall rising with the building’s core is a sculptural interpretation of the region. This signature of the design concept intimately interacts with the feature stair that connects all levels of the building - reminiscent of a switchback path winding up the various elevations of a local hike.

“Veronica is a delight to work with. One of her great strengths is attention to detail. Her breadth of experience and knowledge is apparent from the first time you begin to work with her. She knows all the right questions to bring you into the mindset to focus on the task at hand and get excited about all the new information she has to share. All the spaces she designs are amazing from layout to the furniture and accessories.”

— Honore Bray, Library Director at Missoula PUblic Library
